When Aegis ships
This is the buyer path after public sale opens — not available yet.
- Download the installer from our Gumroad listing and approve Administrator access when Windows asks.
- Open Aegis and enter the license key from your purchase email.
- Start with 1-Click Protection / Protect My PC, or pick modules one at a time.
Common issues
Windows Security blocked a hosts-file change
Open Windows Security → Protection history, allow the Aegis action, then try the AI block again. Signing helps SmartScreen; it does not silence every hosts warning.
Controlled Folder Access blocked an app
That’s ransomware protection doing its job. Add an allow-list exception for the app you trust, or turn CFA off from Aegis if you don’t want it.
Something didn’t stick after a Windows Update
Turn on re-apply at login in Aegis so privacy choices get enforced again after updates push tracking back on.
AI sites still load
Hosts blocking isn’t magic. A VPN can bypass it. Confirm the category is enabled in Aegis and that Secure DNS isn’t routing around the hosts file.
License / machine move
After sale opens, keys will be machine-bound. Moving PCs or refunded keys — email us with your purchase details.
